The evolution of FROHN's product line and growth can best be seen in the following summary of milestones in the company's history.

 
 
  1959 Josef Frohn succeeds control of the Strickmaschinen GmbH; production of Cut Wire Shot and Carbide Tools are also begun.
  1969 FROHN is relocated to Altena to better accommodate the company's growth.
  1972 Mr. Günter Frohn succeeds his father as head of the Josef Frohn Company.
  1993 FROHN expands its facility in Altena in order to increase its production capacity of Conditioned Cut Wire.
  1996 The entity of "Frohn GmbH" is created and takes over the business activities of Josef Frohn Company. FROHN is Certified to ISO 9002 requirements through LRQA. A separate entity "Frohn North America, Inc." is opened in the United States.
  1997 FROHN begins production of Steel Ball Shot for Shot Gun Shells.
  1998 FROHN again expands its facility in Altena to better accommodate and increase its production capacity for Steel Ball Shot.
2003 FROHN is certified to EN ISO 9001 : 2001.
2005 Certification according to ISO/TS 16949 : 2002
